ML research engineer at Ableton

I’m an audio ML research engineer at Ableton. Since 2018, I’ve been a contributor for Essentia, an open-source C++/Python library for audio and music analysis. I’ve also led research and development efforts in industrial collaborations with La Cupula Music (audio quality assessment) and Huawei (transfer learning for music classification).

During my PhD, I worked on weakly supervised audio representation learning for music classification tasks. As a result of this work, I developed Essentia Models, a model hub integrated into Essentia that hosts several music classification models based on my research.

In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar and producing electronic music.
